The project:
This is an opportunity to work on one of the largest programmes in Saudi Arabia. This unique project consists of major mixed-use development including sports facilities, entertainment and arts along with all associated infrastructure.
Mace is one of the delivery partners requiring high-calibre and experienced professionals to lead integrated teams throughout each phase of the project.
To lead functional safety, hazard management and railway risk modelling across the portfolio. Working with multidisciplinary teams and supply chain partners, the role will maintain a clear portfolio-wide risk position, support regulatory compliance and technical approvals, and enable the safe transition of integrated transport assets from design through construction, commissioning and operations.
You’ll be responsible for:
Ensure system safety risks are tolerable and reduced to as low as reasonably practicable (ALARP). * Review and challenge supplier hazard records, ensuring hazards are owned, controlled, evidenced and accepted through the appropriate governance; escalate uncontrolled risks and support entry-into-service decisions. * Own risk records, models, reporting and closure governance, maintaining visibility of residual risks and securing acceptance from the appropriate authorities. * Align safety activities, milestones and analysis with project requirements, schedules and recognised standards, including ISO 15288, EN 50126/29 and EN 50716. * Provide timely progress reporting to the Director, Safety Assurance against Hazard Management Plans and deliverables. * Support the Director, Safety Certification \& Regulation in securing approvals from relevant authorities, including TGA, Civil Defense and SASO. * Advise leadership and project teams on delivering safe, operable assets in line with safety procedures. * Lead and review hazard analysis using recognised specialist techniques and tools, including fault tree and bow-tie analysis. * Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.
