Job Description

The College of Engineering (CoE) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore invites applications for the position of Senior Executive/Assistant Manager, Industry and Research Collaborations.

CoE is NTU’s largest and most research‑intensive college, comprising five internationally recognised engineering schools and sitting at the strategic core of the University’s academic mission. Role Overview

As part of the College of Engineering’s Research \& Partnerships Team, you will support the end‑to‑end administration of industry and research agreements that enable impactful research collaborations at NTU. Working under the guidance of senior team members, you will contribute to the accurate, timely and compliant processing of research agreements and post‑award activities.

This role offers hands‑on exposure to how research collaborations are structured, reviewed, executed and supported within a leading research‑intensive university environment.

Job Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities will focus on agreement management execution and coordination, including:

  • Supporting the administration of the full lifecycle of industry and research agreements (e.g. Non-Disclosure Agreements, Materials Transfer Agreements, Project Agreements, Research Collaboration Agreements, MoUs and Variation Agreements), from initiation to execution and closure
  • Assisting with the preparation of agreement drafts using approved institutional templates and ensuring supporting documentation is complete and accurate
  • Coordinating internal review and approval workflows with relevant offices such as Legal \& Secretary Office, NTUitive and Finance, under established processes
  • Coordinating closely across Schools, central offices, faculty, and external stakeholders to facilitate timely review, negotiation, resolution of issues, and execution of agreements
  • Supporting the setup and maintenance of project records and post‑award information in the University’s research management systems
  • Assisting with agreement variations, extensions and project closure processes in accordance with approved terms and guidance
  • Maintaining tracking records and reports to monitor agreement status and pending actions
  • Contributing to the upkeep of standard operating procedures, checklists and process documentation related to agreement handling
  • Any other ad-hoc initiatives and assignments undertaken by the Office

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline. Degree in engineering, business, law, public policy, administration or related fields will be advantageous.
  • Entry-level candidates with a strong interest in research administration, contracts or higher‑education research environments are welcome to apply
  • Prior exposure to research administration, agreements, grants, contracts or compliance‑related work will be an advantage but is not required
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and follow structured processes
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with attention to clarity, accuracy and professionalism
  • Attention to detail and willingness to learn institutional policies, systems and workflows
  • IT‑savvy, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
