Senior Data Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Data Ingestion \& Development

• Design, develop, and maintain Qlik Replicate data pipelines for near real-time and batch data replication.
• Build and manage data integration solutions across Oracle, DB2, Cloudera, and other heterogeneous systems.
• Administer Qlik Replicate environments, including monitoring, upgrades, patching, and performance optimization.
• Configure replication tasks, error handling mechanisms, and resource optimization strategies.
• Troubleshoot data replication issues and resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries and PL/SQL programs.
• Perform Unix scripting and support Hadoop (Cloudera) environments.

Data Integration \& Project Delivery

• Work closely with business and technical teams to understand data integration requirements.
• Support enterprise data migration, modernization, and cloud transformation initiatives.
• Prepare technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational guides.
• Support testing, validation, deployment, and production implementation of data pipelines.
• Drive automation initiatives for Qlik processes before BAU handover.
• Contribute to CI/CD implementation and continuous improvement activities.

Production Support \& Stakeholder Management

• Provide Level 2/3 production support for Qlik Replicate environments.
• Monitor system alerts, logs, and replication tasks while performing root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with DBAs, infrastructure teams, and application support teams to resolve issues efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with data governance, audit, and security standards.
• Work closely with data architects, analysts, and business users to ensure reliable data delivery.
• Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in Software Engineering with strong exposure to Data Engineering and Data \& AI domains.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Qlik Replicate (Attunity Replicate) as both Developer and Administrator.
• Strong understanding of CDC, full-load, incremental-load replication concepts, and data warehousing.
• Experience with Qlik Enterprise Manager, Qlik Compose, and related Qlik tools.
• Strong SQL and PL/SQL programming skills with database performance tuning experience.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle databases.
• Basic Unix/Linux scripting knowledge.
• Experience working with Hadoop / Cloudera Data Platform is an advantage.
• Experience with Talend ETL is a plus.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices is an added advantage.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
