Job Description

Job Description:

In Schneider Electric everything we do promotes progress and sustainability for all — our colleagues, customers, partners, and the communities and societies where we live and work. From the products, software, and services driving the digital transformation of energy management and automation to corporate citizenship and volunteer activities, we make an impact by helping people and organizations become more resilient and efficient, more electric and digital.

Which is where you come in. Working at Schneider Electric means working toward a cleaner, better world. You're part of a global team built on inclusion, mastery, purpose, action, curiosity, and teamwork, turning sustainability ambitions into actions.

This position is for a Senior Project Manager (Packages Leader) in Singapore, you will be directly responsible for the end-to-end execution, financial health, contractual integrity, and technical validation of all independent product lines or packages dedicated to hyper-scale data center projects. You will act as the core driving force of the country execution team, managing complex engineering systems, strict rolling financial forecasts, and high-stakes risk frameworks while leading cross-functional teams and regional manufacturing partners to achieve successful delivery timelines.

What will you do?

1. Cross-Product Package Execution & Delivery: Direct the localized deployment, installation, and final site handover for all core product types, ensuring individual component packages seamlessly integrate into the overall site architecture:

  • Modular Power Train Units (PTU) & Enclosures: Oversee the delivery, structural positioning, and subsystem integration of modular power skids and prefabricated plant enclosures, encompassing heavy structural frames, main power modules, integrated Low Voltage (LV) distribution cabinets, Cooling System, UPS and Lithium-ion battery containment systems.
  • Critical Cooling Systems: Execute specialized thermal management and precision cooling infrastructure packages, encompassing liquid-to-liquid Coolant Distribution Units (CDU), high-airflow Fan Wall Units (FWU), close-coupled In-Row cooling units, and outdoor heat rejection or specialized cooling modules.
  • Power Busway Distribution: Drive the deployment of high-capacity electrical busway tracking systems, including high-amperage perimeter busway runs, intelligent overhead Tap-Off Boxes (TOB), and flexible row-based track busway solutions.
  • Medium & Low Voltage (MV/LV) Switchgear: Lead the execution and delivery of primary substation and power distribution packages, including Medium Voltage Ring Main Units (RMU), distribution transformers, integrated feeder sets, and modular, type-tested Low Voltage switchboard assemblies.

2. End-to-End Quality Governance via the CXL (Data Center Commissioning) Framework: Govern the entire lifecycle of all equipment packages using the structured Data Center Commissioning Levels (CXL) framework, tracking progression across all execution stages.

  • Level 1 (L1) – Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT): Partner with regional manufacturing hubs to monitor factory-level assembly, QA/QC testing, and witness compliance audits prior to equipment release.
  • Level 2 (L2) – Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) & Delivery: Oversee the logistics pipeline, on-site reception, visual equipment inspections, proper staging, and structural positioning of components on-site.
  • Level 3 (L3) – Pre-Commissioning / Static Verification: Lead the component-level static checks, de-energized inspections, insulation testing, and early quality verification to ready all systems for power-on.
  • Level 4 (L4) – Functional Performance Testing (FPT): Drive isolated dynamic operations and system-level functional checks under specific operating profiles to validate design compliance.
  • Level 5 (L5) – Integrated Systems Testing (IST) & Handover: Orchestrate full-scale facility failure simulations (e.g., loss of utility power, load-bank testing) to ensure total system interoperability and achieve formal client sign-off.

Project Finance & Rolling Forecasts

  • Financial Accountability: Assume full ownership of the package profit and loss (P&L), ensuring execution remains strictly within budgeted Capex allocations across all product tracks.
  • Rolling Forecast Management: Establish and maintain dynamic monthly rolling forecasts for package expenditures, cash flow, resource utilization, and milestone billing.
  • Revenue Optimization: Track local vendor invoicing, manage payment milestones, and proactively drive timely project collections to maximize cash flow metrics.

Contractual Management & Governance

  • Contract Compliance: Administer and enforce all commercial contracts with regional supply chains and local subcontractors, protecting the business from scope creep and potential liabilities.
  • Variation & Claim Management: Robustly manage variation orders (VOs), change notices, and potential claims, ensuring proper documentation, technical evaluation, and commercial positioning.

Strong Risk Management

  • Risk Mitigation: Implement a comprehensive risk management framework spanning the entire multi-factory supply chain down to the local project site.
  • Predictive Issue Resolution: Proactively identify, quantify, and mitigate technical, financial, and logistical risks before they impact the critical path or client capacity deadlines.

Leadership & Team Mobilization

  • Drive & Motivation: Act as a high-energy leader capable of motivating, inspiring, and unifying diverse cross-functional teams, factory production heads, engineering experts, and contractors toward a singular execution vision.
  • Matrix Alignment: Establish clear accountability, high performance standards, and collaboration channels to break down silos across internal and external stakeholder groups.
