About the role

Qatar Airways is seeking to recruit a Senior Corporate Planning Analyst to join our Corporate Strategy team within the Corporate Planning Department to be based in Doha, Qatar.

As a Senior Corporate Planning Analyst, you will be tasked with jointly developing medium and long-term strategic initiatives, working on critical projects with wide-reaching impact, conduct day-to-day industry analyses, and support ad-hoc tasks for management.

Within a complex data environment, tasks will involve a combination of sound analytic processing and market research to support informed decision-making for Senior Management. You will formulate recommendations, steer decision making, and represent Corporate Planning on departmental cross-function initiatives.

Specific responsibilities for the role include:

• Lead work streams and projects across various strategy projects, conducting detailed analyses through structured problem solving, preparing findings with high quality materials, and presenting insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Lead ad-hoc research requests within Corporate Planning, analyzing the industry, market, and competitors to deliver key insights relevant to our business.
• Develop innovative concepts to support and enhance future strategic options within Qatar Airways.
• Support preparation of long-term planning and the evaluation of key strategic decisions, which may involve:

o Analyzing investment proposals including new products and services.

o Assessing initiatives to improve demand and market positioning.

o Evaluation of measures to enhance profitability.

o Evaluation of aircraft and cabin options in support of fleet planning.

Qualification

About you

The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, Statistics or related field.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, in-house corporate strategy, or a related field at a leading organization.
• Experience in conducting detailed analyses, preparation of high-quality presentations, and effective communication across multiple levels.
• Demonstrated understanding of commercial aviation economics and interest in the industry.
• Strong business acumen and strategic thinking, with examples of where you have developed the strategy to drive decisions or projects.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manipulate large volumes of data through advanced analysis and modelling.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis tools.
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural team and work under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English.
