About Us

At Theatre of Light, located in Point Square in the heart of Dublin, we create unforgettable immersive experiences for families and kids. Our café is a big part of that experience — a cosy space for parents to enjoy great coffee and food while the little ones make the most of our soft play area. We're looking for a Senior Barista who's ready to bring energy, skill, and great vibes to the café every single day.

Just a Few Things Before You Apply

This role requires:

• Minimum 2 years of barista experience in a busy café or coffee shop environment.
• Comfortable working as part of a team and supporting less experienced staff.
• Availability required between 25 and 35 hours per week, depending on operational needs — our busiest days are weekends, so weekend availability is essential.
• Meet store operating policies and standards, including providing quality beverages and food products, cash handling, and store safety and security.
• Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Valid right to work in Ireland (we are unable to sponsor visas).

What You'll Be Doing

• Making and serving top-quality coffee and beverages, including latte art.
• Engaging with and understanding our customers, including discovering and responding to customer needs through clear and pleasant communication.
• Heating up food and preparing beverages customised for customers, including recipe changes such as temperature, quantity of ingredients, or substituted ingredients.
• Supervising the kids' soft play area — keeping it safe, clean, and fun.
• Reporting to the Venue Manager on stock needs and ensuring stock levels are always maintained.
• Keeping the café and seating areas clean, tidy, and welcoming at all times.
• Handling cash and POS transactions accurately.
• Assisting in training other staff members on coffee-making and service standards when needed.
• Available to perform many different tasks within the store during each shift.
• Creating a warm, welcoming experience for every guest.
