Medway Norse specialises in providing a range of services in partnership with Medway Council. We deliver a number of front-line services to the public, including security, transport, waste management and facilities management.
We are currently recruiting for a Security Officer to work on a casual basis, the security officer will identify and report incidents at assigned Medway Norse and client sites and will be responsible for the security and safety of the assigned properties. The security officer will periodically tour the assigned facility to identify any irregularities, observe protection and fire control equipment and enforce regulations for the facility in regard to the premises, personnel and visitors.
Main Responsibilities:
- The primary responsibility is to ensure the security, safety and well-being of all personnel, visitors and the premises; reporting any defects to the helpdesk.
- Follow procedures for various initiatives, including fire prevention, property patrol, accident investigations and documenting incidents through accurate reporting procedures.
- Attend to building alarm callouts and initiate secondary action(s).
- Completion of site investigations following alarm responses.
- Immediately respond to emergencies to provide necessary assistance to employees and customers.
- Carry out regular foot and/or mobile patrols.
- Performing opening and closing of client premises.
- Responding professionally to requests from the control room / helpdesk.
- Monitor property as per client instructions.
- Maintain the use of keys and follow instructions implemented to safeguard keys when in possession.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Adhere to all company service and operating standards.
- Remain in compliance with government regulations.
Candidate Requirements:
- SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guard License.
- First Aid Training.
- Extensive Work History.
- Previous experience of working within the Security Industry.
- Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to provide a five-star service.
- Exceptionally clear communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable with excellent time-management skills.
- Good report writing skills.
- Conflict management aware.
- Can apply sound judgement and effective decision-making.
- Able to adapt to changing situations.
- Able to work a variable shift pattern.
