Security Operative

Job Summary

Join our dynamic security team as a Security Operative, where your vigilance and proactive approach will ensure the safety and protection of our client's premises, staff, and visitors. In this vital role, you will be responsible for monitoring security systems, conducting surveillance activities, preventing loss, and responding swiftly to incidents, acting as front of house staff providing information and acting as a brand ambassador. Your dedication will help maintain a secure environment that fosters confidence and peace of mind for everyone on our client's premises.

Duties

• Monitor surveillance footage using CCTV systems to identify suspicious activity or security breaches.
• Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access.
• Implement loss prevention strategies by observing and reporting potential theft or security risks.
• Respond promptly to alarms or incidents, coordinating with emergency services when necessary.
• Maintain detailed records of security activities, incidents, and surveillance logs.
• Assist visitors and staff by verifying identities and ensuring adherence to security protocols to include ID checks, searches and ticket checks.
• Provide first aid assistance in emergency situations, following established procedures to support injured individuals.

Qualifications

• A front line Sia Door Supervisor license.
• A valid in date First Aid Qualification.
• A full UK driving license and access to own transport.
• Proven experience in security operations or related fields is preferred but not mandatory as full training will be provided.
• Strong knowledge of surveillance techniques and CCTV systems, a Sia CCTV License is desireable.
• Ability to perform surveillance duties diligently while maintaining high attention to detail.
• Excellent observational skills with the ability to identify potential threats quickly.
• Good communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and accurately.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively during emergencies.

Pay: £15.50 per hour

Expected hours: 6.0 – 60.0 per week
