Job Summary
Responsible for driving hotel revenue by developing new business, maintaining relationships with existing clients, generating corporate and leisure sales, and promoting the hotel's rooms, events, banquets, and other services. The role requires strong knowledge of the Bahrain/GCC hospitality market and the ability to build relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, tour operators, and local businesses.
Key Duties \& Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within Bahrain and GCC markets.
- Conduct regular sales calls and visits to corporate companies, travel agencies, tour operators, and key accounts.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing corporate and leisure clients.
- Promote hotel rooms, restaurants, meeting rooms, conferences, banquets, and other hotel facilities.
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets as assigned by the Sales Manager.
- Prepare and follow up on quotations, proposals, contracts, and corporate agreements.
- Negotiate rates and packages with clients within approved hotel guidelines.
- Handle corporate and group inquiries and coordinate with the reservations, events, banquet, and operations teams.
- Generate leads through networking, client visits, telephone calls, email, social media, and industry events.
- Conduct hotel site inspections and presentations for potential clients.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client information, business opportunities, and follow-ups in the CRM or sales system.
- Monitor competitor hotels, market rates, promotions, and business trends.
- Develop business from GCC markets and maintain relationships with regional accounts when required.
- Attend exhibitions, trade shows, hotel sales events, and hospitality networking activities.
- Coordinate with Revenue Management to maximize room occupancy and revenue.
- Follow up on outstanding payments and coordinate with the Finance Department where required.
- Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and activity reports for management.
- Handle client complaints and coordinate with relevant departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Support promotional campaigns and special offers to increase hotel revenue.
- Maintain professional relationships with key decision-makers, companies, embassies, travel agencies, and other business partners.
- Perform other sales and business-development duties assigned by the management.
Preferred Experience
- 2–5+ years of hotel sales experience, preferably in Bahrain or another GCC country.
- Experience in corporate sales, room sales, group bookings, events, and banqueting is an advantage.
- Existing relationships with corporate accounts, travel agencies, DMCs, and GCC clients are preferred.
- Knowledge of the Bahrain/GCC hospitality market.
- Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and networking skills.
- Target-oriented with the ability to develop new business and achieve sales objectives.
- Proficiency in MS Office and hotel PMS/CRM systems.
- Good command of English; Arabic and additional GCC-market languages are an advantage.
- Valid Bahrain/GCC driving licence is an advantage, depending on the role.
