CLIENT: CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY (HOSPITAL CONSTRUCTION)
Job Summary
Responsible for enforcing safety compliance across hospital construction sites, ensuring all activities meet DOSH, CIDB, and OSHA requirements. The role focuses on high-risk environments involving structural, M\&E, and hospital-grade facility construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure full compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA 1994), DOSH regulations, and CIDB safety standards
- Develop, implement, and monitor Site Safety \& Health Plans (SSHP)
- Conduct daily site safety inspections and risk assessments (HIRARC)
- Identify hazards, unsafe practices, and enforce corrective actions immediately
- Lead toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and induction training for all workers and subcontractors
- Monitor high-risk activities such as lifting operations, confined space work, work at height, and M\&E installations
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare detailed reports and preventive measures
- Ensure proper use of PPE and safety equipment on site
- Liaise with project managers, consultants, and regulatory authorities (DOSH, CIDB, local councils)
- Maintain all safety documentation, reports, permits, and compliance records
- Ensure site readiness for audits and inspections, especially for hospital-grade compliance requirements
Requirements
- Registered Safety \& Health Officer (SHO) with DOSH (Green Book MUST HAVE for SHO)
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in construction safety, preferably hospital or large-scale projects
- Strong knowledge of OSHA 1994, FMA, CIDB requirements, and local authority regulations
- Experience handling high-risk construction environments (M\&E, structural, healthcare facilities)
- Certified in First Aid, CPR, and relevant safety training
- Strong reporting, documentation, and enforcement skills
- Able to work under pressure and enforce compliance strictly

Pay: RM7,500.00 - RM8,500.00 per month
