Reporting to the National Telecommunications Manager, you will be part of a small specialist team providing regional and nationally consistent telecommunications support, with a particular focus on rural operational requirements.
As a trusted technical expert, you will support and maintain critical radio and communications systems, deliver telecommunications projects, provide advanced technical support, and build strong working relationships with operational staff across the region.
This role offers a balance of hands-on field work, project delivery, stakeholder engagement, and technical problem-solving in a purpose-driven environment where your work directly supports emergency response capabilities.

You'll be a practical and solutions-focused telecommunications professional with proven experience designing, installing, and supporting radio communications systems. You will bring strong customer service and stakeholder engagement skills, experience working with communications hardware and networking technologies, and the ability to build, configure, and support hardware solutions using off-the-shelf products. You will also have experience managing technical projects or contracts, a strong understanding of rural operational environments and their communication requirements, and the ability to work effectively with suppliers, contractors, and frontline operational teams.

The salary range for this role is $102,751 - $114,168 (pro rata), dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
