Under the general supervision of the Recreation \& Events Supervisor, this position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing assigned City-sponsored special events, festivals, ceremonies, races, and community engagement activities. This position supports comprehensive event plans that enhance community engagement and the overall guest experience while ensuring events are safe, successful, and well executed. Working collaboratively with the Special Events team, city departments, vendors, and community partners, this role also compiles, analyzes and reports event-related data to support planning and continuous improvement. The position requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed to support event operations. Essential Functions/Knowledge, Skills, \& Abilities

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Any work-related experience resulting in acceptable proficiency levels in the below Minimum Qualifications may be an acceptable substitute.
Bachelor's degree in Parks and Recreation, Event Management, Hospitality Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, Communications, Tourism, or a closely related field, supplemented by two (2) years of event management and sales in a multi-purpose / use facility, event planning, hospitality, and sales management.
Must be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as required.

Work is performed in a combination of office and outdoor environments with light to occasionally moderate physical effort. Some tasks require visual and sound perception and discrimination and oral communications ability. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. WORK ENVIRONMENT
