Marine Logistics Coordinator

Job Summary
Revolution Marine is seeking a detail-oriented Marine Logistics Coordinator to manage vessel scheduling, offshore support operations, port agency clearances, and maritime cargo transport across Omani ports and regional waters. Reporting directly to the Marine Operations Manager, you will coordinate supply vessel movements, ensure compliance with maritime regulations, liaise with port authorities, and streamline offshore logistics workflows to support energy and commercial marine projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Vessel Scheduling & Operations: Direct daily scheduling, dispatching, and tracking of offshore supply vessels (OSVs), tugboats, and cargo barges across Omani ports (Sohar, Duqm, Salalah, Sultan Qaboos).
- Port & Customs Clearances: Coordinate port agency activities, vessel entry/exit permits, immigration clearances, and customs documentation with Omani port authorities and Coast Guard officials.
- Cargo & Bunkering Coordination: Oversee offshore cargo loading/unloading, deck space allocation, fuel bunkering, freshwater supply, and hazardous material (IMDG) handling protocols.
- Vendor & Service Management: Liaise with ship chandlers, tug operators, stevedores, and third-party marine service providers to ensure prompt turnaround times and adhere to key SLAs.
- Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Enforce compliance with International Maritime Organization (IMO) conventions, SOLAS, MARPOL, and Omani Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology standards.
- Logistics Documentation & KPI Tracking: Maintain accurate vessel movement logs, charter party records, and demurrage calculations, producing weekly operational efficiency reports for leadership.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in marine logistics, vessel agency, or offshore supply operations within Oman or the GCC region.
- Technical Mastery: Solid understanding of vessel chartering terms, port operations, bill of lading (BOL) procedures, and maritime logistics software/telematics tools.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with Omani port rules, customs clearance procedures, IMO regulations, and maritime safety standards.
- Skills: Excellent communication, crisis management, multi-tasking under tight port schedules, and problem-solving abilities.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Maritime Studies, Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Nautical Science, or a related field.
- Languages: Professional fluency in English; working proficiency in Arabic is a strong advantage.
