The role of the Project Coordinator is to coordinate the execution of oil contamination remediation projects. This involves the planning, execution and finalisation of projects according to deadlines and within budget. The projects include the assessment of contaminated sites, undertaking remedial options appraisals and the implementation of remediation programmes from start to finish. The Project Coordinator helps to develop and execute remediation projects’ objectives and oversees quality control throughout its life cycle. The Project Coordinator is the central point of contact for remediation works, ensuring that all remediation site works are planned and completed according to the project plan, schedule and budget.
Relationship management and client satisfaction is a key requirement during projects, including regular interaction with the Client, designated representative or interested third parties and our own site teams. You will be responsible for project administration during the course of projects and you will report directly to the relevant Project Director on a project-by-project basis.
This role would suit someone who has a background in environmental science or construction, who is used to dealing with multiple projects simultaneously and who is looking to get involved in unusual and interesting remediation work on a project level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Delivery: Oversee your assigned projects’ lifecycles, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Project Planning: Assist in the development of project plans, ensuring alignment with project objectives and stakeholder expectations, as well as resource availability.
- Project schedules \& resourcing: Coordinate project schedules, resources, and communications among team members to facilitate project execution.
- Project progress tracking: Track project progress, identifying potential risks or issues and escalating them to project managers as needed.
- Cost and Resource Management: Effectively control project costs, allocate resources efficiently, and ensure adherence to budgets throughout the project lifecycle.
- Project reports: Provide regular project status reports and documentation to stakeholders.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure all projects comply with sustainability standards, including energy audits, lifecycle assessments, and renewable energy integration.
- Client and Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular project updates and ensuring stakeholder expectations are effectively managed.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks to ensure smooth delivery and avoid delays.
Key Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience in environmental and/or construction project coordination.
- Knowledge: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the environmental, remediation, construction or related industries. A good understanding of project site work and coordination/phasing of work.
- Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in environmental science, construction or a related field.
- Skills: Strong organisational, and communication skills, with a successful track record of involvement in the delivery of multiple projects simultaneously. Strong IT skills, proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ability to learn new systems quickly. A full driving license is a must.
