Our Global Device Development organisation is focused on the design, development and commercialisation of a diverse portfolio of device technology solutions to enable delivery for our large and growing range of generic and branded products around the globe. We develop device technologies to enable drug-delivery for respiratory, biologic, biosimilar and injectable products, and work across Viatris to support innovative technology in the healthcare solutions for our patients. We operate from 4 sites: Dublin, Ireland, Cambridge \& Sandwich, UK and Southpointe, Pittsburgh, USA. The Role \& What You Will Be Doing

With an expanding portfolio of products and exciting new projects in the pipeline, we need to grow and we are looking for talented engineers to join the team. The Program Manager, sits within the Device Technical Operations group, is a project management role for an experienced Project Manager, and here’s how this role will make an impact:

  • Assume overall responsibility for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of a project.
  • The Program Manager is responsible to the project stakeholders for delivering a project’s objectives within scope, schedule, cost, and quality.
  • Lead both device design and design control remediation projects into post market transfer across our affiliate and CMO sites while tightly managing the objectives set by the project stakeholders.
  • Define and clarify project scope while developing and maintaining the project schedule.
  • Ownership for managing and reporting project progress.
  • Responsible for identifying, communicating, monitoring, and appropriately managing project risk and liaising with broader team on addressing issues and resolutions.
  • Establishment of priorities, imparting a sense of urgency and importance to the team while using project management tools and techniques to support the delivery of new products.
  • All other duties as assigned.

About Your Skills \& Experience

For this role, we’re looking for a candidate who has an effective combination of the following qualifications, skills and experiences:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering/science discipline along with experience in a project management role.
  • Experience in budget management, project coordination, risk management and cross-functional project responsibility.
  • The individual should enjoy working in a dynamic \& results oriented team environment.
  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills - able to express ideas and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent analytical skills, ability to plan, organise and implement concurrent tasks.
  • Will have demonstrated an ability to define project risk and to effectively manage project risks.
  • Experience of working with external partners.
  • Application and understanding of the requirements of key industry standards, as applicable to drug delivery and medical device development, including ISO 13485, EU MDR 2017/745, ISO 14971 and 21CFR Part 820.
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills to lead or facilitate effective technical and project discussions with technical teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using project management information systems including Microsoft Project.
