Precast Concrete Operative (Experienced)

About the Role

We're looking for experienced precast concrete operatives to join our production team in Co. Leitrim. This is a hands-on, on-site role for skilled workers who can produce high-quality precast concrete products safely and efficiently, with minimal supervision.

This is a self-motivated role with very tight production deadlines. We need hard-working individuals who can stay productive under pressure and keep pace without close supervision.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up molds/formwork for precast concrete units
• Cut, bend, and place reinforcement (rebar/mesh) accurately per specifications
• Mix, pour, and finish concrete to required standards
• Operate vibrating tables, batching equipment, and other production machinery
• Demould, inspect, and handle finished precast units without damage
• Perform quality checks and flag defects or inconsistencies
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times, including PPE use
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and assist with basic equipment maintenance
• Work efficiently within production schedules and targets

Requirements

• Proven experience working in precast concrete production or a similar concrete/construction trade
• Solid understanding of concrete mixing, pouring, and finishing techniques
• Experience reading basic drawings/specifications
• Comfortable with physical labor, including lifting, standing, and working in a yard/factory environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
• Ability to work well as part of a team and take initiative independently
• Self-motivated with the ability to consistently meet tight production deadlines
• Hard-working with the stamina and drive to maintain pace under pressure
• Relevant certifications (e.g., manual handling, working at height, forklift) a plus
• Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic

Pay: €14.15-€22.32 per hour
