Production Designer

Job Description:

We seek a talented, detail-oriented draftsman, kitchen, or interior designer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating meticulous kitchen designs, preparing drawings for manufacturing, compiling comprehensive sheets of quantity, and ensuring the accurate placement of electrical, water, and gas connections. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in drafting, exceptional design skills, and the ability to coordinate effectively with various stakeholders to ensure all technical aspects are addressed.

Responsibilities:

· Collaborate with clients to understand their specific requirements and preferences for kitchen designs.

· Utilize CAD software to create detailed drawings of kitchen layouts, including floor plans, elevations, and sections.

· Ensure that kitchen designs comply with building codes, regulations, and safety standards.

· Coordinate with electrical, plumbing, and gas professionals to determine optimal placement for connections and fixtures.

· Prepare comprehensive sheets of quantity, detailing materials, dimensions, and specifications for procurement and construction purposes.

· Work closely with manufacturing teams to translate designs into production-ready drawings.

· Revise drawings and specifications based on feedback from clients, architects, and engineers.

· Stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and best practices in kitchen design and construction.

Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in architecture, interior design, or a related field.

· A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a draftsman or kitchen designer, with a strong portfolio demonstrating previous projects.

· Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD or similar programs.

· Excellent technical skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.

· Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and technical requirements related to kitchen design.

· Ability to effectively coordinate with various professionals, including electricians, plumbers, and contractors.

· Experience in preparing sheets of quantity and coordinating technical aspects of kitchen projects.

· Effective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
