We are currently seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Production Coordinator – Merchandiser to join our team. This is a permanent, full-time, in-person position based at our Ottawa office.

Key Responsibilities

As a Production Coordinator – Merchandiser, you will bridge the gap between our global suppliers and buyers, ensuring smooth production cycles and timely delivery. Your core duties will include:

• Order Management: Oversee the end-to-end production process from purchase order (PO) issuance to final delivery.
• Supplier Coordination: Communicate daily with overseas offices and factories (China, India, Pakistan, etc.) regarding production timelines, material sourcing, and sample approvals.
• Merchandising \& Styling: Assist in developing product assortments, tracking lab dips, and managing pre-production (PP) and shipping samples for buyer approval.
• Timeline Tracking: Maintain and update the Critical Path (T\&A/Time and Action calendar) to ensure all production milestones and shipping deadlines are met.
• Quality Assurance Support: Work closely with QA teams to ensure all goods meet the specific quality standards and compliance requirements of our retail buyers.
• Logistics Collaboration: Coordinate with the logistics department to track shipments and ensure all necessary customs and shipping documentation are accurate.

Qualifications \& Skills

• Experience: 1–3 years of experience in apparel production coordination, merchandising, or global sourcing (experience in hosiery/socks is a major asset).
• Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively across different cultures and time zones.
• Organization: Strong multitasking skills with a sharp eye for detail and the ability to manage tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables) and standard ERP/PLM software.
• Problem-Solving: Proactive attitude with the ability to troubleshoot production delays or supply chain disruptions efficiently.

If you are persistent, resilient and a team player and have an excellent communication and time management skills, then you are the person for this job! Knowledge of Hosiery/ Socks/ Textile / Garments Industry \& Knowledge , Spanish can be an asset for this Position.

Knowledge of Retail Link/ EDI/POS/ ERP/ E-Commerce platforms /Omni channel Retail Platforms will be an added advantage.
