Product Stewardship Specialist

We are looking for a Product Stewardship Specialist to become PPG's subject matter expert for Turkish chemical regulations, including KKDIK / KKS, biocides and Safety Data Sheets. You will also contribute to broader EMEA regulatory compliance initiatives across eco-labels, product notifications, and REACH-like regulations.

This is a highly visible, business-facing role. You will engage directly with government authorities, advocate for practical and industry-aligned requirements, and collaborate with the Supply Chain, Procurement, EHS, Product Stewardship teams across PPG to support business objectives and ensure compliance.

The role covers primarily Turkey, but includes additional responsibilities in other EMEA countries and reports to the Product Regulatory Compliance Manager, EMEA based in Amsterdam. It is designed with growth in mind — offering exposure to global regulatory frameworks and a clear path to becoming a broader EMEA regulatory expert.

Key Responsibilities

For Turkey:

• Serve as PPG's certified KDU, and prepare and submit dossiers for the Turkish KKS system throughout the product lifecycle: manage applications and follow up with authorities, suppliers and SIEF (MDB in Turkish).
• Ensure KKDIK compliance of all products by managing all registration dossiers.
• Lead regulatory activities throughout the product lifecycle in Turkey and across EMEA. This involves submitting applications for biocides and eco-labels, as well as obtaining approval and maintenance, working closely with authorities, consultants, customers, and internal departments.
• Provide guidance and monitor the regulatory developments to ensure that the Safety Data Sheet (Güvenlik Bilgi Formu)

meets the regulations. * Monitor regulatory developments in Turkey, advise Product Stewardship teams to ensure timely compliance, and where needed, engage directly with authorities to advocate for pragmatic and market-aligned regulation.

For EMEA:

• Monitor monthly volumes for the substances imported or used in the EU, UK and/or Turkey, and determine the EU REACH, UK REACH and KKDIK status of the raw materials.
• Evaluate possible imports into the EMEA region and provide guidance to the business to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Prepare product notifications as per local regulations in countries like Switzerland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland.
• Register the substances if required in EU, UK or any other regions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Chemistry or a related field.
• 5+ years in the chemical industry of which 2-3 years in Product Stewardship working with REACH \& REACH type regulations, Biocides and other product regulations
• KKDIK Certification (Kimyasalların Kaydı, Değerlendirilmesi, İzni ve Kısıtlanması)
• KDU Qualification (Kimyasal Değerlendirme Uzmanı) with the ability to register substances in KKS.
• GBF Qualification (Güvenlik Bilgi Formu)
• Fluent in Turkish and English.
