Your new role and environment.

The Center of Excellence (CoE) Data Insights \& Analytics is responsible for the design, development and operation of the regional European Azure Data Platform and is supporting the local business/brands and IT teams in generating value from their data assets.

The underlying business use cases cover different areas such as Loyalty \& Personalization, Reporting \& Dashboarding, Data Science \& AI Analytics or Data Monetization.

Our mission is to provide our internal customers with platform capabilities which are delivered “as a service” and ensure a seamless experience to deliver data products.

The Product Manager (Azure Data Platform) is responsible for defining the roadmap of platform capabilities that will enable the different product teams operating on the platform.

Key responsibilities of your role.

As Product Manager, you will articulate the short and long term technology roadmap around 3 major focus areas:

  • Platform infrastructure services which are meant to ensure security, accessibility, compliance, scalability and performance for both the production and non-production environments of the platform;
  • Quality \& Automation frameworks which are meant to support and orchestrate the SDLC (software development lifecycle) and operational support processes
  • Observability framework to support predictive maintenance and FinOps

With the support of platform scrum team, you develop and own both the vision and the execution strategy for the capabilities under your responsibility. This entails:

  • Steering the delivery of the Platform roadmap and managing its dependencies with the Product roadmap owned by the Business Product Manager(s);
  • Promoting platform capabilities to all local and regional Data \& Analytics teams operating on the platform (a.o. via roadshows, demos) to ensure business adoption
  • Owning the onboarding process supporting new joiners in understanding how to use the platform (a.o. via regular training sessions, up to date “how to” guides, etc)
  • Ensuring alignment with portfolio priorities and overall budget / TCO considerations;
  • Improving the platform efficiency and automation level to contribute to operational excellence objectives.

Requirements.

We think you’ll be best geared for success if you can meet the following requirements:

  • University Degree in Computer sciences or any other discipline of technical orientation
  • Mandatory prior experience of minimum 7-8 years in a related work experience.
  • Proven IT architecture experience in a data-oriented ecosystem
  • Leading role towards development teams as technical product owner / product manager.
  • Exposure to Cloud native data platforms or any cloud infrastructure
  • Familiar with IaC, SDLC tools \& framework (CI/CD, Automation, monitoring)
  • Previous experience working in a scaled agile environment
  • Strong engineering background in a technology-driven environment
  • ITIL working experience (change, release, incident, problem, service management and service request)

Considered a plus

  • Experience with Databricks, Terraform
  • Working knowledge on data science development lifecycle.
  • Working knowledge on delivering projects in agile mode by using CI/CD capabilities and Azure DevOps pipelines
  • Any of the following certifications:
  • Agile/SAFe certifications.
  • Azure Data Engineer or AWS/GCP equivalent.
  • Azure Solutions Architect or AWS/GCP equivalent.
  • Certified Data Management Professional (DAMA).
