Job Summary
Lead physiotherapy services and rehabilitation programmes at the Centre, delivering personalised care to improve client mobility and independence while mentoring staff and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage the delivery of physiotherapy services and rehabilitation programmes to achieve client mobility and functional goals
Conduct comprehensive physiotherapy assessments to identify client needs and develop tailored treatment and rehabilitation plans
Deliver evidence-based physiotherapy interventions to enhance clients’ mobility, strength, balance, function, and independence
Monitor client progress regularly and adjust treatment plans to optimise rehabilitation outcomes
Supervise, guide, and mentor physiotherapists and therapy support staff to enhance clinical skills and service quality
Collaborate closely with occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, care staff, and other professionals to provide integrated, holistic care
Educate clients, caregivers, and families on exercises, mobility techniques, and fall prevention strategies to support ongoing care
Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation, records, and reports in compliance with standards
Drive development, review, and implementation of clinical protocols, step-down rehabilitation programmes, and quality improvement initiatives
Contribute to staff training, case discussions, and community rehabilitation efforts to promote best practices
Ensure compliance with professional, clinical, safety, and regulatory standards to uphold service excellence
Required competencies and certifications
Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent from a recognised institution
Registration with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC)
Minimum 10 years of relevant physiotherapy experience in hospital, rehabilitation, geriatrics, community care, or day rehabilitation settings
Preferred competencies and qualifications
Experience developing step-down rehabilitation programmes to support community reintegration and continuity of care
Experience transitioning care from hospital to community-based rehabilitation settings
Proven experience supervising or mentoring physiotherapists and/or therapy support staff
Strong clinical expertise in assessment, treatment planning, and rehabilitation
Knowledge of mobility, balance, falls prevention, and functional rehabilitation
Leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to engage seniors, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams
Organisational and problem-solving abilities
Compassionate, patient, and committed to person-centred care
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
