Presales Engineer - Security Systems

About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented technically skilled and client-focused Presales Engineer to support our Audio-Visual (AV) systems sales team to join our UAE operations for Altron in Abu Dhabi \& Sharjah. In this role, The Presales Engineer will work closely with sales representatives, clients, and engineering teams to design tailored AV solutions, deliver compelling presentations, and ensure a smooth transition from concept to implementation.

Key responsibilities:

· Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and provide technical solutions using AV technologies.

· Conduct site surveys, needs analysis, and technical discovery to design Access Control and CCTV system architectures.

· Prepare detailed system designs, diagrams (AutoCAD, Visio), and Bill of Materials (BoM).

· Develop and deliver high-impact technical presentations and product demonstrations.

· Respond to RFPs, RFQs, and technical queries from clients with accurate documentation.

· Liaise with manufacturers and distributors for up-to-date product knowledge and integration insights.

· Assist in proof-of-concept setups, mock-ups, and pilot installations.

· Provide technical training to sales teams and end-users when required.

· Support the handover to the project and support teams post-sale.

Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

· 3+ years experience in a presales, systems integration, or technical consulting role in the Security Systems.

· Strong knowledge of Security systems including Big Brands, Axis, Honneywell, Hikvision, Suprema and others.

· Proficient in Security system design tools (e.g. D-Tools, AutoCAD, Visio).

· Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

· Industry certifications and ADMCC Certificate is a plus

Preferred qualifications:

· Familiarity with Access control and CCTV systems design.

· Experience in verticals like corporate offices, higher education, hospitality, or entertainment.
