About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Platform Architect to lead the design, evolution, and optimization of scalable, high-performance platform solutions. This role combines technical architecture expertise, business process understanding, and stakeholder management to deliver robust systems that support rapid business growth.
You will work closely with Product, Operations, Engineering, QA, DevOps, and Data teams to translate complex business requirements into scalable, maintainable, and secure platform architectures.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business models, product workflows, and operational requirements to design scalable platform solutions.
- Lead business process analysis, domain modeling, system architecture design, API integration planning, and data flow design.
- Act as the technical owner for strategic projects, ensuring successful delivery across cross-functional teams.
- Drive platformization, componentization, and reusable architecture initiatives to improve development efficiency and system maintainability.
- Review business requirements and proactively identify risks related to performance, scalability, security, data consistency, and production deployment.
- Design and recommend architecture solutions that enhance business capabilities and operational efficiency.
- Develop and maintain architecture documentation, business process flows, system interaction diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Guide engineering teams on architectural best practices, design patterns, and complex system implementation.
- Balance immediate business needs with long-term scalability, reliability, and maintainability goals.
- Promote continuous improvement across platform architecture, development practices, and technical governance.
Requirements
Must-Have Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Software Architecture, Solution Architecture, Platform Architecture, or Senior Backend Engineering roles.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional projects involving Product, Engineering, QA, DevOps, Operations, and Data teams.
- Strong expertise in:
- Microservices Architecture
- System Design \& Technical Architecture
- API Design \& Integration
- Distributed Systems \& Data Consistency
- Access Control \& Permission Management
- MongoDB
- Message Queues / Messaging Middleware
- Stream Processing Technologies (e.g., Flink, Kafka Streams, Spark Streaming)
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and technical documentation skills.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ownership mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Preferred Industry Experience
Experience in one or more of the following domains:

- Experience leveraging AI-powered development tools such as ChatGPT, Claude Code, Gemini, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools for development productivity, technical research, debugging, and documentation.
- Exposure to cloud-native architectures, containerization, and DevOps practices.
- Experience designing highly available, large-scale systems handling high transaction volumes.
Pay: RM12,000.00 - RM18,000.00 per month
