About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician (ACP registered) to join our team. Recent graduates or students awaiting PEBC results are encouraged to apply. This role offers the opportunity to work to the full scope of practice as outlined by the Alberta College of Pharmacy.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform non-sterile compounding, including hazardous compounding. (Experience preferred, but not required)
- Carry out duties within the full scope of practice for Pharmacy Technicians as per ACP standards.
- Support the pharmacist in daily operations and other assigned tasks.
- Occasionally deliver medications to patients (mileage will be reimbursed).
- Ensure compliance with professional standards, legislation, and policies.
Qualifications
- Active registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician or Provisional Technician.
- Recent graduates or students awaiting PEBC results are welcome to apply.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Valid driver’s license (for occasional deliveries).
IMPORTANT – ACP REGISTRATION REQUIRED
This is a Pharmacy Technician position, NOT a Pharmacy Assistant position.
Applicants must hold current registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP) as a Pharmacy Technician and provide their valid ACP registration number with their application.
Applications submitted without an ACP registration number will be rejected without consideration. Applicants who are not currently registered as Pharmacy Technicians with ACP should not apply.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
