We’re looking for a proactive Middle Office professional seeking genuine front office exposure, ownership of key controls, and the opportunity to drive meaningful process improvement and automation—primarily for New Zealand, with additional responsibility supporting Australia.

In this role, you’ll sit at the heart of the Australia \& New Zealand Equities business, partnering closely with Trading, Business Management, clients, and global support teams. You’ll own critical front to back controls, ensure trade integrity, and play a key role in managing operational and risk outcomes on T0 and beyond.

You’ll be trusted to act decisively, think critically, and continuously improve how we support the business.

• Own and operate a suite of front to back controls, identifying and capturing risk events as part of the first line of defense
• Ensure T0 trade data integrity, with a strong focus on completeness, accuracy, and timeliness
• Produce and facilitate sign off for T0 risk reporting and T+1 reconciliations
• Act as a key point of contact for Australia \& New Zealand Equities Trading desks and Business Managers, providing time critical support
• Liaise with clients and external brokers to resolve trade booking and economic discrepancies
• Partner with the business and local support functions on new initiatives, change, and process improvement to enhance efficiency and control
• Drive automation and continuous improvement, leveraging data and tooling to reduce risk and manual effort

Your team

You’ll join the Australia \& New Zealand Securities Transaction Processing team, part of Securities Middle Office and Client Services. The team provides critical support to Equities Trading across Global Markets and Global Banking, working closely with Front Office, Technology, Risk, and offshore partners. UBS Operations underpins the Investment Bank, enabling the business to perform at its best while maintaining robust controls, meeting regulatory requirements, and delivering a premium client experience. Your expertise

Essential experience:

• Tertiary qualification (Finance or a related discipline preferred)
• Experience in trade support or middle office within an investment bank or buy side environment
• Solid understanding of middle and back-office trade flows, including bookings, confirmations, reconciliations, settlements, and corporate actions
• Strong ownership mindset, with the ability to identify, investigate, and resolve booking model or system issues
• Clear and concise communication skills, particularly when articulating risk or issues
• Broad understanding of the regulatory and compliance landscape in Australia \& New Zealand
• Ability to work effectively across local and offshore teams, building strong working relationships

Added advantage:

• Experience with Alteryx, Tableau, or Power BI
• Exposure to product rollouts, process change, or automation initiatives *#LI-Hybrid
