Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs, recording medical histories, and ensuring comfort throughout their visit
• Perform phlebotomy and medication administration under supervision, adhering to safety protocols and medication guidelines
• Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) accurately by documenting patient information, updating medical records, and coding diagnoses using ICD standards
• Conduct basic physiology assessments and assist with patient education on treatment plans or medication usage
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical areas while complying with infection control standards and hospital policies

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Medical Assistant with a background in outpatient or inpatient settings
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and ICD coding practices
• Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management tools
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent, phlebotomy or medication administration are preferred
• Hands-on experience with medical documentation, vital signs collection, and patient service delivery in inpatient or outpatient settings
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
• Must be willing to obtain BLS, phlebotomy, medication administration, or radiologic technology license, upon employment
