Seeking Mandarin Chinese Tutors! Can We Talk?

We need a Mandarin Chinese language tutor in Epsom (Kohia Terrace School) for 2-3 hours on Saturdays. Teaching time starts from 9:00am. This class will be in-person. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone wanting to gain experience and create an impact on Kiwi students aged 5 to pre-teens, who love learning Mandarin. Hours may increase depending on your performance.

Pistachio Mandarin Language Centre is a young company. We provide Mandarin Chinese language tuition to our students who primarily want to learn to speak on daily conversation topics. We are a busy and growing entrepreneurial business, with a family oriented culture. Training will be provided to support your growth.

We are looking for a tutor who is passionate, has a positive attitude, a creative mind, is able to design teaching plans and deal with students on different learning levels. By using interactive activities including role play, games, songs, quiz and videos, there is no doubt you will become a student favourite. Creating a fun learning environment is important.

Applicants are not required to be native Mandarin speakers. However, your language level must be proficient to fluent. Class instructions are conducted in English, with the contents being in Mandarin and pinyin. Therefore, your English language level also needs to be proficient. You must know basic pinyin and tone rules.

Pay is $39.36 per lesson rate for in-person group classes. This includes an hour of teaching and lesson preparation.

The ideal start date is 18th July 2026.
