As a Line Mechanic – Earthed Lines, you’ll apply best‑practice techniques to construct, maintain, and repair overhead distribution systems up to 66kV. Your day may include pole erection, conductor stringing, climbing structures, applying earths, or terminating underground cables. You’ll also play an active role in safety, attend toolbox meetings, complete accurate job documentation, and participate in an after‑hours fault roster. We’re looking for a dependable team player who is motivated, safety‑focused, and committed to doing it right.

• Full-time permanent role working a minimum of 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday, with weekend work required from time to time.
• Overtime is paid after 40 hours at a rate of time and a half.
• The wage range for this role is $39-50/hour (gross) - dependent upon qualifications and experience.
• This role is primarily based in Hope (Nelson/Tasman) in the South Island of New Zealand however travel to the Otago Region may be required from time to time to assist with outages and/or emergency work.

Qualifications Requirements:

• Full Electrical Workers Registration Board (EWRB) Registration and current Practicing License or EWRB Limited Practicing License or a letter from the EWRB stating that you are eligible to apply for a EWRB Limited Practicing License.
• Full Class 1 New Zealand or international equivalent driver’s license.
• 3+ years' experience working with overhead distribution assets.
• Experience working high voltage electric lines.
