You have always wanted your own hospital. This one is already built.
Most veterinarians who want to own never do, because building a hospital costs upward of a million dollars and three years. This one has three exam rooms, surgery, a dental suite, digital X-ray, in-house lab, treatment, holding and a walk-in vaccine area off the lobby. All of it is sitting there right now, waiting for the right doctor.
This is a full-time, salaried position leading that hospital. For the veterinarian who wants it, it is also a path to owning the practice outright.
If you are...
- A veterinarian who has priced out practice ownership and stopped cold at the cost of building one
- Three or more years into small-animal general practice, comfortable in surgery and dentistry
- Licensed in California, or eligible within 90 days
- Willing to hold the premise permit as licensee manager, because the medicine here would legally be yours
- Someone who can read a profit and loss statement without flinching
And you would love to...
- Walk into a hospital that is already equipped instead of financing a buildout
- Set your own standards, your own appointment length and your own service mix
- Practice integrative or holistic medicine alongside conventional work, if that is how you treat
- Win back a client base that chose this hospital once already
We offer...
- Three ways in, and we will work out together which one fits. Join as an employed lead veterinarian. Buy in over time, starting on salary with a written path to equity. Or buy the practice outright. Our first choice is a doctor who wants to own it, but if you want to practice medicine and leave the business to someone else, we want to hear from you too. Tell us which path you are leaning toward when you apply.
- $150,000 to $200,000 base plus production, set to be earned on an ordinary schedule
- Introductions to the veterinary lenders we work with, SBA and conventional, and owner financing for the right person
- An owner who is an independent retailer, not a veterinary group
- A flexible schedule. Four, five or six days, your call. We will show you what each one produces and what it leaves after expenses, before you accept
- A second, newer clinic inside our Canoga Park store, built in 2025 with current IDEXX lab and imaging, available on the same terms
One thing about that history. This was a busy hospital. In its last full year it saw roughly 6,000 clients across about 14,000 visits. But that took six days a week and more than one doctor, so do not read it as a solo benchmark. It has also been closed since February 2026 and those clients have found other vets, so winning them back is real work. It is work with a head start, though. Our store staff are still asked when the clinic is reopening, and so is the person who handles records requests, by people who have already moved their pet somewhere else and are still checking.
And one thing about control. How much of the schedule is yours on day one depends on the path you take. On salary, capacity is a decision we make together, because we are both carrying it and your pay includes production. Own the practice and every call is yours, because the risk is too.
