Job Description 1) Job/Group Overview:

The Finance Technology Group - Liquidity Team is responsible for the development, delivery, and support of data platforms and technology solutions for the Finance Division. The team consists of data engineers, application engineers, and technology specialists who work closely with business users, global Technology teams, and DevOps. This role is expected to contribute to the design, operation, and continuous improvement of GLAD, the firm’s liquidity and regulatory data platform

2) Responsibilities:

Develop, enhance, and support GLAD, the firm’s liquidity and regulatory data platform, using Scala, Apache Spark, Hadoop, AWS, and related technologies. Design and maintain data pipelines to ingest, transform, validate, and deliver high-quality financial data for liquidity risk and regulatory reporting. Collaborate with business users, global Technology teams, and DevOps to resolve production issues, improve platform performance, and maintain technical documentation.

Requirements Requirements:

Mandatory: 2-5 years of experience in data engineering or software development. Hands-on experience with Scala, Apache Spark, SQL, and ETL/data pipelines. Working knowledge of Hadoop, AWS, or distributed data platforms. Professional proficiency in Japanese and/or English.

Preferred:

Experience in financial services, liquidity risk, or regulatory reporting. Knowledge of Basel III, LCR, or NSFR. Experience with MinIO, Dremio, Denodo, and DevOps/CI/CD tools.

Salary/Benefits This is a hands-on technical role. Occasional work outside normal business hours may be required for production incidents, releases, maintenance activities, and coordination with global teams.
