About the Role

A2Z Language Hub is seeking versatile Farsi, Turkish/English linguistic professionals to join our freelance network. This role covers a variety of interpretation assignments and document translation projects. We are looking for reliable, professional individuals who can bridge language gaps across various sectors within Canada.

Interpretation Requirements

• Fluency: Full professional fluency in both Farsi, Turkish
• Remote Setup: Must have a dedicated, quiet workspace with high-speed internet. Access to a professional-grade headset and a high-definition webcam for Video Remote Interpretation (VRI).
• Commuting: availability of vehicle for in-person appointments.
• Skills: Strong active listening, note-taking, and the ability to maintain neutral, accurate communication during Over-the-Phone (OPI), Video calls or in-person Interpretation.
• Availability: Professional and reliable for scheduled assignments or on-call remote sessions.

Translation Requirements

• Writing Skills: Exceptional written command of both Farsi and English grammar, syntax, and industry-specific terminology.
• Accuracy: Ability to perform precise document translations while maintaining the original tone and intent.
• Deliverables: Experience managing project deadlines and delivering formatted documents (Word, PDF, etc.).
• Portfolio: A portfolio or samples of previous translation work is highly encouraged.
• Attention to Detail: Strong proofreading skills to ensure error-free submissions.

Assignment Details

• Scope: Assignment based work depending on operational needs. Mainly In-person, Over-the-Phone (OPI) and Video Remote Interpretation (VRI).
• Translation: General and technical document translation projects.
• Contract: Independent Contractor status.

Job Type: Freelance

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
