We are a growing organisation providing residential care services for young people aged 11–18. With multiple homes and further expansion planned, we are looking for a proactive HR Officer to support both HR operations and lead on recruitment and talent acquisition across the business.
This is a varied and fast-paced role where you will take ownership of recruitment and play a key part in building a strong workforce. You will work closely with senior managers to attract, identify, and onboard high-quality staff, while also supporting core HR administration and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from vacancy approval through to onboarding
- Create, manage and optimise job adverts across platforms such as Eurostaffs and Eurostaffs
- Proactively source candidates using Eurostaffs, CV databases, and social media platforms
- Use targeted search techniques (including Boolean searching) to identify high-quality and passive candidates
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of candidates for current and future roles
- Engage directly with candidates, promoting the organisation and opportunities available
- Screen applications and conduct initial interviews to produce high-quality shortlists
- Coordinate interviews and support managers through the selection process
- Develop relationships with recruitment agencies, local authorities, and professional networks
- Support recruitment campaigns linked to new home openings and organisational growth
- Monitor recruitment performance (e.g. time-to-hire, source of hire) and suggest improvements
- Manage onboarding processes including DBS checks, references, and right-to-work documentation
- Maintain accurate HR records and personnel files in line with GDPR
- Monitor staff compliance including training, supervision, and appraisals
- Support payroll processes by collating staff hours and relevant data
- Assist managers with disciplinary, grievance, and performance matters
- Coordinate staff inductions, training, and qualifications (e.g. Diplomas)
- Maintain training records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards

- Ability to work proactively and manage multiple priorities
- Understanding of confidentiality and HR processes
- Experience in a care or regulated environment (desirable)
