Job Description

JOB OVERVIEW

As Hotel Manager, you will provide operational leadership across the hotel, working closely with the General Manager to maximize financial performance, develop high-performing teams, create memorable guest experiences, ensure consistent delivery of brand standards, and strengthen the hotel and brand presence within the local community.

As the No. 2 leader of the hotel, you will oversee day-to-day hotel operations, drive collaboration across departments, and support the General Manager in achieving the hotel’s operational, people, and guest experience objectives. You may also be required to act on behalf of the General Manager during his/her absence.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

People

  • Direct day-to-day hotel operations, plan and assign work, and ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained to meet operational requirements.
  • Develop team members and improve performance through regular coaching, feedback, recognition, and the establishment of clear performance and development goals.
  • Ensure colleagues are properly trained and equipped with the knowledge, tools, and resources required to perform their roles efficiently and in compliance with brand and hotel standards.
  • Recommend or initiate appropriate HR-related actions when required, in collaboration with Human Resources and the General Manager.
  • Promote teamwork, engagement, and quality service through effective daily communication and close coordination with department heads and operational teams.
  • Support the development of a strong leadership pipeline and identify high-potential colleagues for future career growth.

Responsible Business

  • Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests, colleagues, and hotel assets in compliance with hotel and owner policies, brand standards, legal requirements, and local regulations.
  • Maintain positive relationships with relevant external stakeholders, authorities, suppliers, business partners, and members of the local community.
  • Act as a representative of the hotel and brand to enhance awareness and strengthen the hotel’s reputation within the local community.
  • Encourage colleague participation in community organizations, activities, sustainability initiatives, and responsible business programs.
  • Develop and implement action plans that support environmental sustainability and reduce the hotel’s carbon footprint.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and serve as Manager on Duty when required.

Guest Experience

  • Engage professionally with guests and key external contacts, including current and potential clients, government officials, travel industry representatives, suppliers, competitors, and members of the local community.
  • Ensure the hotel consistently delivers the highest level of guest satisfaction through exceptional service, operational excellence, and well-maintained facilities and amenities.
  • Take ownership of significant guest concerns and service recovery situations, ensuring timely resolution and appropriate follow-up.
  • Work closely with department heads to continuously improve the guest journey and overall hotel experience.
  • Ensure guest feedback and satisfaction results are regularly reviewed and translated into clear operational action plans.

Financial & Commercial Performance

  • Support the General Manager in the development, implementation, and monitoring of the hotel’s financial and operational plans to maximize guest satisfaction, revenue potential, productivity, and profitability.
  • Monitor departmental performance, productivity, costs, and operational efficiency, taking corrective action where necessary.
  • Work closely with Commercial, Revenue, Finance, and operational teams to identify opportunities to improve revenue, profitability, and overall business performance.
  • Make recommendations for capital expenditure and property improvements that enhance the hotel’s assets, guest experience, operational efficiency, and brand positioning.
  • Support the General Manager in achieving hotel performance targets while maintaining appropriate cost controls and service standards.

KEY PERSONALITY CRITERIA * Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in Hotel Administration, Business Administration * Three years’ general management experience in a high-level operations role or prior general manager experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience * Type and level of experience required may vary slightly based on size and complexity of * Must speak Thai language
