HOSPITALITY VIDEO EDITOR & CONTENT PRODUCER
Job Description

Location: Leicester
Salary: £26,000–£31,000 per annum, depending on experience
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Experience: Minimum 3 years' relevant professional experience
Hospitality experience: Essential and must be verifiable
Travel: Regular venue visits, including Bristol and Watford

Turn great footage into content people cannot stop watching.

We are looking for a highly creative Video Editor \& Content Producer to lead post-production across a portfolio of exciting hospitality brands:

Haute Dolci Leicester
Haute Dolci Bristol
Haute Dolci Watford
Haute Privé Leicester
Naan Staap Leicester

Your primary responsibility will be professional video editing and post-production, with content shooting as an important secondary capability.

You'll work closely with our Videographer \& Content Producer to turn high-quality raw footage into fast, engaging, polished and commercially effective content across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and digital advertising.

We don't simply want someone who knows how to operate editing software.

We want someone who understands why people watch, why they keep watching, and why they share.

YOUR PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY — EDITING \& POST-PRODUCTION

You will take ownership of turning raw material into outstanding finished content.

This will include:

  • Editing high-impact Instagram Reels, TikToks and YouTube Shorts
  • Creating premium food and hospitality edits
  • Building powerful opening hooks
  • Controlling pacing and rhythm to maximise retention
  • Selecting the strongest shots from large volumes of footage
  • Professional colour correction and grading
  • Audio mixing and sound design
  • Music selection and synchronisation
  • Dynamic captions and subtitles
  • Motion graphics
  • Speed ramps and transitions where appropriate
  • Product reveals
  • Food close-ups and sensory edits
  • Event highlight videos
  • Promotional videos
  • Influencer/collaboration content
  • Long-form footage repurposed into multiple short-form assets
  • Creating different versions for organic and paid campaigns
  • Formatting creative correctly for different social platforms

You should be highly proficient in professional editing tools such as:

Adobe Premiere Pro / After Effects / DaVinci Resolve / CapCut Pro or comparable platforms.

YOU'LL EDIT FOR PERFORMANCE, NOT JUST APPEARANCE

Beautiful editing is important, but commercial content has to perform.

You'll understand concepts including:

Hook → Hold → Payoff

and be able to recognise:

  • weak opening frames,
  • unnecessary dead space,
  • poor pacing,
  • weak shot selection,
  • excessive transitions,
  • insufficient pattern interruption,
  • inadequate captions,
  • and opportunities to improve watch-time.

You'll regularly create multiple edits from the same shoot, enabling us to test different hooks, formats, lengths and creative approaches.

You should be someone who can watch a 45-second edit and immediately think:

“This would perform better at 19 seconds, starting with that shot.”SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITY — PROFESSIONAL CONTENT SHOOTING

Although editing is your primary specialism, you must also be comfortable producing professional content yourself.

You will therefore:

  • Attend scheduled content shoots
  • Shoot professional video and photography
  • Capture food, drinks, venues and events
  • Film vertical/social-first content
  • Understand lighting, framing and camera settings
  • Capture supplementary/B-roll content
  • Run shoots independently when the lead videographer is unavailable
  • Understand what footage an editor needs before leaving a shoot

The ideal candidate is therefore an editor first, but a capable professional shooter too.

HOSPITALITY EXPERIENCE IS ESSENTIAL

Previous professional experience producing content for the hospitality or food \& beverage sector is mandatory.

Relevant experience could include:

  • Restaurants
  • Dessert brands
  • Cafés
  • Hotels
  • Food brands
  • Bars
  • Event venues
  • Catering
  • Premium lifestyle/hospitality businesses

You must be able to demonstrate this through a portfolio and verifiable previous work.

We particularly want to see how you handle:

  • food close-ups,
  • texture,
  • pouring,
  • melting,
  • steam,
  • movement,
  • atmosphere,
  • venue transitions,
  • people,
  • events,
  • and fast-paced restaurant content.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

You should have:

  • Minimum 3 years' professional editing/content experience
  • Verifiable hospitality/food \& beverage experience — essential
  • A strong professional editing showreel
  • Advanced short-form video editing ability
  • Excellent sense of pacing and storytelling
  • Strong colour-grading skills
  • Good audio and sound-design skills
  • Understanding of motion graphics
  • Strong knowledge of TikTok, Instagram and emerging social formats
  • Professional shooting capability
  • Ability to organise and manage large content libraries
  • Excellent file-management discipline
  • Ability to deliver against deadlines
  • Strong creative judgement
  • Ability to receive feedback without becoming dependent on detailed instructions
  • A genuine interest in food, hospitality, digital culture and content trends

THE ENVIRONMENT

This will be a high-output creative role.

You won't be expected to spend weeks polishing a single 60-second film.

We want someone capable of producing excellent work at the speed modern social media demands — while maintaining premium brand standards.

You'll work across several very different environments, from premium dessert restaurants to afternoon tea, events, street-food-inspired food and lifestyle content.

TRAVEL

Your base will be Leicester, but regular venue visits will form part of the role.

Content sessions will take place across Leicester, Watford and Bristol, generally once or twice per month per location depending on campaigns and requirements.

Reasonable authorised business travel expenses will be covered.

Some evening/weekend availability will occasionally be required to capture events and genuine hospitality atmosphere.

WHY JOIN US?

This is an opportunity to become part of an in-house creative operation rather than simply processing someone else's footage.

You'll influence:

  • creative direction,
  • editing style,
  • campaign concepts,
  • social trends,
  • content series,
  • shoot planning,
  • brand storytelling,
  • and how each of our hospitality brands appears online.

Most importantly, you'll be able to see the direct relationship between your creative work and views, engagement, bookings, footfall and sales.

HOW TO APPLY

Please provide:

1. CV
2. Editing showreel/portfolio
3. Links to hospitality clients/employers/accounts you have worked on
4. At least three hospitality videos you personally edited
5. At least two examples of content you personally filmed
6. A brief explanation of exactly what you did on each example

Applications without verifiable hospitality experience and evidence of professional editing work will not be progressed.

Pay: £26,000.00-£31,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • Employee discount
  • Free parking
  • Store discount
  • Work from home

Work Location: In person
