Location:

TutorJohn Learning Centre – CCK or Tampines

Position:

Full-Time / Part Time - Primary \& Secondary Tutor, Chinese

Salary:

$2,500 – $3,500 per month, based on experience, with performance bonuses / $25-$35/hour for Part Time

Work Days:

4 weekdays + 1 weekend

Working Hours:

• Weekdays: 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM / 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
• Weekends: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Full-Time/ Part-Time Chinese Tutors

for our Choa Chu Kang and Tampines West branches. This role is suitable for candidates who are confident in supporting Primary and Secondary students across multiple subjects.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching and Lesson Delivery

You will teach up to 3 classes per day and conduct lessons aligned with the latest MOE syllabus. The role involves supporting students in structured academic improvement across subjects such as:

English

Writing, comprehension, grammar, and answering techniques

Math

Concept mastery, problem-solving, and exam application

Science

Foundation building, scientific concepts, and structured answering techniques

Chinese

Writing, comprehension, and answering techniques

Student Progress and Parent Confidence

You will conduct short assessments, identify learning gaps, and adjust teaching strategies based on student needs and performance trends. You will also help build parent confidence through consistent student progress and clear academic support.

Operational Support

You will assist with lesson preparation, teaching resources, scheduling support, and smooth day-to-day centre operations.

Leadership Growth Opportunities

Strong performers will have the opportunity to work closely with the team and John, with a progression pathway towards Assistant Centre Manager.

Requirements

We are looking for candidates who are:

• Diploma or degree holders, preferably in education-related fields
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
• Preferably with at least 1 year of teaching experience
• Strong in Primary and Secondary subject fundamentals
• Confident in classroom management and clear explanation
• Responsible, consistent, and committed to student outcomes
• Able to commit until the end of the academic year
