The Head of Operations ANZ sits directly between the foundational execution teams and the Commercial Operations Director International . This role is responsible for translating high-level commercial strategies into day-to-end supply chain execution, overseeing cross-functional planning workflows, and optimizing multi-channel operational metrics.

The role is highly strategic focusing on process adherence, continues improvement and had direct responsibility for the operations in the region. The Commercial Operations Manager reporting to this role remains responsible for the execution and management of the day-to-day business.

Role and Responsibilities

Team and Operations Management

  • Liaise with the Commercial Operations Director to execute strategic goals, align supply chain capacities with financiais budgets, and bridge the gap between commercial growth aspirations and operational capabilities.
  • Plan and monitor demand planning, supply planning, and order management/customer service operations within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Shopify to ensure continuous progress in accuracy \& process improvements .
  • Supervise staff across departments by leading, mentoring, and developing direct reports in planning, logistics , and customer service while providing performance-driven feedback.
  • Evaluate the efficiency of business procedures regularly and implement targeted process automation and workflow optimization projects across e-commerce, ERP, and warehouse networks.
  • Manage commercial procurement processes and balance internal resources efficiently by overseeing international inbound logistics , customs clearance, and domestic Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO) production schedules.
  • Review localized financial information and manage line-item operational budgets, aggressively minimizing working capital, logistics costs, and inventory waste.
  • Implement and enforce organizational policies to maintain structural consistency, establish regional safety stock parameters, and mitigate slow-moving and obsolete inventory (SLOB/FEFO).
  • Evaluate overall performance data by gathering and interpreting cross-departmental metrics, governing the monthly Sales and Operations Planning (S\&OP) process, and managing external vendor service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Ensure all business practices comply with relevant legal and industry regulations, strictly enforcing pharmaceutical logistics compliance standards, including GDP, cold chain validation, and QA batch release timelines.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • E ducation : Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management , Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional Certification preferred (e.g., APICS CSCP or CPIM)
  • Experience : 6 –8 years of progressive supply chain experience, specifically within a strictly regulated industry (Pharmaceutical, Biotech, or Medical Devices) and solid experience leading S\&OP/IBP cycles .
  • Leadership : 3–5 years of direct people management experience, with a proven track record of supervising mid-level professionals or distinct sub-teams .
  • Systems \& Technical Skills : Hands-on mastery of Tier 1/2 ERP systems (ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central) and e-commerce ecosystems (Shopify), specifically focused on data integrity, inventory parameters, and workflow automation. Soft Skills \& Communication

  • Advanced cross-functional negotiation skills
