Pay Rate: $35 - $45 per hour

About the Role

BIN88GO is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Driver to join our waste management and recycling operations team. This role involves working in a fast-paced industrial environment handling waste and recyclable materials, loading and unloading trucks, operating forklifts, and assisting with general yard operations .

This is a physically demanding position requiring early morning starts at 2:00 a.m., shift work, and the ability to work in varying weather conditions and around waste-processing activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently within waste and recycling facilities.
• Load, unload, stack, and transport waste and recyclable materials.
• Complete daily equipment inspections and report maintenance issues.
• Follow all health and safety procedures and environmental regulations.
• Maintain accurate operational records.
• Assist with general yard duties and housekeeping as required.
• Work collaboratively with drivers, sorters, and supervisors in a shared yard.
• Ability to cover class 2 truck drivers to maintain waste management and collections operations.
• Ability to work on weekends and public holidays.

Requirements

• Current New Zealand Forklift Operator Certificate (F endorsement preferred).
• At least 2 years relevant experience OR Level 4 or higher qualification
• Ability to work permanent early morning shifts commencing at 2:00 a.m.
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
• Clean criminal history suitable for working in a safety-sensitive environment.
• Reliable transport to attend work at the required start time.
• New Zealand Class 2 drivers licence preferred
