The Hat Maker Hotel is a new, boutique hotel in the heart of Dungarvan, offering luxurious accommodations and exceptional service. The hotel has a unique bar & café that serves a delightful range of offerings from a continental buffet breakfast, light bites, toasted sandwiches, charcuterie, barista coffee, to refreshing cocktails and more. We are committed to providing our guests with an exceptional dining experience, and we’re looking for a friendly and energetic Food & Beverage professional to join our team.

Job Description:
As a Food & Beverage Team Member, you will play a key role in delivering outstanding service to our guests at the hotel’s café and bar. From assisting with the buffet breakfast service to serving coffee, light bites, and cocktails, your role will ensure guests enjoy an exceptional dining experience throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and maintain the buffet breakfast, ensuring food items are fresh, appealing, and stocked.
• Serve guests in the bar & café, including taking orders and delivering food and drinks (including alcoholic beverages).
• Prepare barista-style coffee drinks to the highest standard.
• Prepare and serve light bites, snacks, and beverages in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Serve cocktails and other alcoholic beverages, adhering to hotel policies and legal requirements.
• Assist with maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the café and bar area.
• Handle guest inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
• Maintain knowledge of the menu offerings and beverage options to assist guests in their choices.
• Ensure that all food safety and hygiene standards are met at all times.

Key Requirements:

• Previous experience in a food and beverage or hospitality role is essential.
• A passion for delivering excellent customer service.
• Knowledge of barista coffee preparation and cocktail mixing is a plus.
• Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanour.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards.
• Must be 18+ (minimum requirement to serve alcohol).
• Must be available midweek as well as weekends
