To join our team based in Redcliffe WA, we are seeking to employ a full-time Fishing Tool Coordinator with relevant skill and experience to ensure our customers are provided with professional, technical and timely engineering solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, and supervise fishing, recovery, and remedial well intervention operations across drilling, workover, and P\&A environments.
- Perform pre-job engineering, risk assessments, and contingency planning for complex fishing scenarios.
- Troubleshoot downhole issues in real time and adapt fishing strategies to minimise NPT and operational risk.
- Ensure all field activities comply with company procedures, client requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
- Capture and report post-job learnings, technical outcomes, and improvement opportunities. Estimating material costs and quantities, and machine requirements
- Support business development activities through technical input, solution development, and client-facing engagement.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with operators, drilling contractors, and service partners.
- Participate in pre-tender reviews, technical clarifications, and client presentations.
- Identify upcoming opportunities and emerging client needs Organising and supervising inspection and maintenance of machines and plant
- Contribute to job planning, equipment selection, inventory readiness, and logistics coordination.
- Assist in developing standard fishing programs, contingency matrices, and best-practice methodologies.
- Support cost estimating, tool selection, and operational sequencing during proposal and execution phases.
- Interface with engineering, workshop, and supply chain teams to ensure tool readiness and continuous improvement.
- Support development of new fishing tools, services, or capability expansions aligned with market demand.
- Assist in forecasting workload, equipment utilisation, and personnel requirements.
- Represent the company at industry events, client meetings, and technical forums as required.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Degree Mechanical Engineer with high technical and problem-solving ability
- Minimum 5 years industry experience in specialist role
- Exceptional customer skills and ability to develop new relationships
- Supervision of field crew across multiple operations
- Intermediate MS Office and document presentation skills
