Financial Controller - Strong Experience in the Real Estate Sector

Haqbaz Real Estate is looking for a Financial Controller with strong experience in the real estate sector to manage the company’s financial operations, ensure accurate accounting and compliance, control budgets and cash flow, and provide reliable financial reporting to senior management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Management \& Accounting
  • Oversee the accounting cycle including (as applicable) AP/AR, general ledger, reconciliations, and journal entries.
  • Ensure all transactions are recorded correctly and supported by proper documentation.
  • Financial Reporting
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and reports (P\&L, cash flow, balance sheet items as applicable).
  • Provide timely reporting and analysis of variances (budget vs. actual) to management.
  • Budgeting \& Forecasting
  • Support preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Monitor budgets, control costs, and recommend corrective actions to improve profitability.
  • Cash Flow \& Bank Controls
  • Manage cash planning, payment schedules, and bank account monitoring.
  • Ensure payments are processed accurately and within internal approval controls.
  • Internal Controls \& Compliance
  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls over financial transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with Haqbaz Real Estate internal policies and applicable statutory requirements.
  • Real Estate Financial Oversight
  • Track financial activities related to real estate operations, such as:
  • Collections (payments from clients/tenants as applicable)
  • Commission/agent payments (where applicable)
  • Project/asset-related expenses and cost tracking
  • Property-related revenue and billing support
  • Ensure proper classification of real estate income/expenses for accurate reporting.
  • Vendor \& Contractor Payments
  • Review vendor invoices and payment requests to ensure approvals and supporting documents are in place.
  • Monitor outstanding payables and manage payment follow-ups.
  • Audit \& Risk Management
  • Coordinate with external auditors/accountants and support audit requirements.
  • Implement corrective actions to address audit findings and reduce financial risk.
  • Team Leadership (If Applicable)
  • Supervise finance/accounting staff (if any), assign tasks, and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Review work for accuracy and compliance.
  • Confidentiality
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure financial data is handled securely.

Required Experience

  • At least 3–5 years experience in real estate company finance (required).
  • Hands-on experience with management reporting, reconciliations, budgeting, and internal controls.

Qualifications (Suggested)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Business.
  • Professional qualification (preferred): CPA/ACCA/CMA.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and accounting/ERP systems (please specify Haqbaz software if known).
