As a key member of the Finance team, the Financial Accountant will report directly to the Financial Controller within the Finance Department and will work to ensure that all processes and procedures are organised, executed and completed in an accurate and timely manner and to established standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts \& Reporting Packs.
General ledger accounting and balance sheet reconciliations.
Preparation of accruals and prepayments.
Support month end close activities and prepare reports and business metrics as required.
VAT, RTD, Intrastat, RCT/CIS Returns.
Weekly Headcount Reporting.
Reconciliations including Bank, Revenue, Debtors \& Creditors
Assisting with the preparation of Weekly Profit \& Loss Commercial Reporting.
Preparation and review of various project costings and weekly labour allocations.
Reconciling weekly project reports to monthly actuals and implementing appropriate actions to deliver consistent results and minimise variances.
Setting up Leases and HP Agreements and reconciling to balance sheet monthly.
Support Inventory Management and Fixed Asset Management within the ERP system.
Assisting with the year end auditing and budgeting functions.
Maintain and monitor of the Finance Mailboxes on a daily basis (queries from both internal \& external stakeholders).
Support issue resolution and internal queries in a timely manner, maintaining an audit trail of queries in the event issues are escalated.
Validate that internal controls are implemented and operational in collaboration with the wider finance team.
Develop an understanding of all finance/business processes with a view to implementing efficiencies and improvements through proficient excel modelling, AI and system upgrades.
Other duties as required and assigned by Financial Controller or such other designated person.
Qualifications and Skills
Experience as a Qualified Accountant.
Strong organisational skills and problem solving experience.
ERP knowledge is an advantage.
Strong demonstrated use and knowledge of software such as MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
Target driven and ability to work proactively and collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders and to own initiative.
Proven experience of managing and dealing with multiple demands and competing priorities to strict deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and detail.
Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience.
