We're a 4.5-star iCIRT rated builder, a certified Great Place to Work, and a team that genuinely lives our values: Excellence. Respect. Partnership. Reliability. Safety.

Now, we're looking for a Financial Accountant who's ready to be part of something built to last.

Job Description

This is a high-ownership, high-impact role at the heart of DASCO's finance function. You'll be the primary owner of end-to-end financial accounting across multiple legal entities; from month-end close and tax compliance to system administration and continuous improvement. Working directly alongside the CFO and wider finance team, you'll help ensure the integrity and accuracy of everything financial that underpins how we deliver. You will be in the office full time, 5 days a week.

If you love clean numbers, strong controls, and a role where your work genuinely matters, this is it.

What You'll Own

Month-End \& Reporting You'll drive the month-end close timetable, prepare journals, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations and management accounts, including JV reporting, and be the key liaison for external auditors.

Tax Compliance BAS lodgements across all entities, FBT returns, TPAR, Payment Times Reporting; you'll manage the full suite of ATO obligations and coordinate with external tax agents where needed.

Payroll Tax \& Wage Allocation Monthly payroll tax lodgements and managing the payroll data transfer from Employment Hero into Jobpac, including wage allocation across GL and project levels.

Jobpac System Administration As the primary system admin for financial accounting, you'll own the chart of accounts, cost codes, and GL configurations.

Accounts Receivable Low-volume AR management for the group, working in close coordination with our Contracts Administrators on invoicing and claim collections.

Team \& Innovation You'll support the finance team with GL queries, coding and reporting, while actively looking for ways to improve systems, strengthen controls, and lift data quality across the function.

Desired Skills and Experience

What You Bring

  • Construction or property development industry experience — this is highly regarded
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business or Finance
  • CA/CPA qualification (completed or in progress) — highly regarded
  • Minimum 3 years in a financial accounting role with multi-entity exposure
  • Demonstrated experience across BAS, FBT and payroll tax obligations
  • Experience with Jobpac or a comparable construction ERP (Cheops, Procore Finance)
  • Advanced Excel and solid Microsoft 365 skills
  • Familiarity with construction finance concepts: progress claims, retentions, cost-to-date, subcontractor schedules and project cost coding
  • Experience with JV or trust structures is a bonus
  • Full time in office 5 days

Why DASCO?
