An exciting opportunity is available for a highly organised and proactive professional to join the Respiratory and Sleep Medicine Service at John Hunter Hospital. In this pivotal role, you will provide high-level executive support to the Head of Department while leading a dedicated team of administrative staff. This position is ideal for an experienced administrator who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and is confident managing competing priorities with professionalism, discretion, and efficiency. About the Role

As Executive Assistant and Administration Team Leader, you will:* Provide comprehensive executive and secretarial support to the Head of Department * Lead, support, and coordinate a team of six administrative staff * Manage waitlists, clinic scheduling, and appointment coordination * Prepare agendas, minutes, reports, and complex correspondence * Coordinate meetings, conferences, and stakeholder communications * Support advanced trainees and facilitate smooth departmental operations * Maintain records in accordance with legislative and policy requirements * Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and organisational objectives
