Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Estimation Administrator to support the outside sales team in generating quotations and processing orders for lighting projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational, technical, and communication skills. Experience in the lighting industry is preferred but not required.
This role will primarily focus on supporting back-end sales activities, responding to customer inquiries via phone and email, and ensuring accurate and timely quotation support utilizing ERP and CRM platforms. The successful candidate must be comfortable reviewing and comprehending technical project information, specifications, and drawings, and be capable of making confident product selections and recommendations based on project requirements.
The successful candidate will work closely with regional and global teams; therefore, strong communication, collaboration, and customer service skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to the outside sales team in generating quotations, estimations, and order entries utilizing ERP and CRM platforms.
- Review project plans, specifications, lighting schedules, and Bill of Quantity (BOQ) requests for quotation preparation.
- Review technical project information and specifications to recommend appropriate product solutions and support accurate quotations.
- Provide product availability, pricing, and lead-time information for incoming BOM requests.
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer, contractor, and distributor inquiries via phone and email.
- Collaborate closely with the sales and engineering teams to provide technical information and recommend alternative product solutions when necessary.
- Track sales opportunities, maintain accurate CRM updates, and support sales reporting activities.
- Coordinate internally with sales, operations, and engineering teams to ensure accurate and timely project support from inquiry through order processing.
- Liaise and collaborate with regional and global teams to align project deliverables, timelines, and customer requirements.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of quotations, project documentation, and order status updates.
- Assist with submittals, cut sheets, and other project-related documentation as required.
- Support value engineering initiatives by identifying cost-effective product alternatives while maintaining project specifications.
- Maintain updated product knowledge, pricing databases, and system records.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in estimation support, sales support, or a related industry.
- Experience working with ERP and CRM systems preferred.
- Knowledge of lighting products, controls, fixtures, and project specifications is preferred but not required.
- Ability to comprehend technical project information, specifications, and drawings, and confidently recommend or select appropriate products based on project requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and preferably lighting schedules.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with regional and global teams.
- Strong customer service orientation and professional phone/email communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and team collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the architectural, commercial lighting, electrical, or construction-related industry.
- Familiarity with lighting design software and photometric reports is considered an asset.
- Understanding of project bidding, tendering, and order management processes.
Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
