Job Summary:
Responsible for managing and coordinating electrical design activities at Cyberjaya site, reviewing technical drawings and specifications, and ensuring electrical systems comply with project requirements, industry standards, and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and review electrical design drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Develop design strategies that align with client specifications, project requirements, and industry standards.
- Review and validate technical drawings, layouts, and specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct design evaluations and identify areas for improvement or cost optimization.
- Work closely with architects, civil, structural, and electrical engineers to integrate electrical systems effectively.
- Ensure all design modifications and updates are properly communicated across teams.
- Ensure all electrical designs meet safety, sustainability, and energy efficiency standards.
- Conduct site inspections and audits to verify design implementation.
- Work with procurement teams to ensure correct materials and equipment selection.
- Track project progress and ensure timely completion of design deliverables.
- Identify and resolve design-related technical challenges during project development.
- Maintain updated design records, reports, and technical documentation.
- Prepare and submit design status reports to stakeholders and management.
- Support changing management processes in design modifications.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical design, preferably in data centres, MEP, or mission-critical facilities.
- Proficient in preparing and reviewing electrical drawings, layouts, and technical specifications.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and electrical design software (e.g. Revit, ETAP, Inventor, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, lighting, and control systems.
- Knowledge of electrical design standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and managing design deliverables.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
