Job Description

As the Director- Security Monitoring & Inspection Services, you are responsible for translating the company's vision and objectives into strategic Security & Inspection approaches, fostering stakeholder engagement, and delivering best-in-class services that protect the company's reputation and promote its businesses. You will lead the team to optimize processes, develop a customer-centric culture, and oversee departmental KPIs and performance measures, all while ensuring budget and time constraints are met.

Responsibilities: Core Responsibilities:

Build and retain a best-in-class Security & Inspection department

Provide leadership and expertise to the Security & Inspection teams and the wider business

Oversee the Security & Inspection budget and expenditure in coordination with Finance

Ensure that the Security & Inspection department is aligned with procurement, operations, and HR to ensure smooth day-to-day operations

Attract, recruit, and retain high-caliber Security & Inspection staff

Coach and mentor direct reports ensuring the effective management of their teams

People Management Responsibilites:

Lead the Security and Inspection services department and team

Provide leadership and direction for the department

Develop and implement plans to achieve the objectives of the department

Oversee the plan for the provision of Security & Inspection assistance to Business Development when identifying new viable business lines

Lead or participate in NISHAN Security Services cross-functional teams to design and operate end-to-end business processes

Strategic Responsibilities:

Lead the Security and Inspection services department and team to define the long-term and annual Security & Inspection strategies and plans for NISHAN Security Services and each of its businesses.

Act as a key advisor to the leadership team with regards to Security & Inspection

Oversee/guide the development of the brand strategy for NISHAN Security Services and its businesses.

Oversee/guide the development of Security & Inspection strategies and plans for NISHAN Security Services and its businesses.

Oversee/guide the development of Security & Inspection strategy and plan ensuring implementation initiatives and activities meet objectives.

Oversee/guide the reporting processes from the Security & Inspection team to NISHAN Security Services and the businesses.

Engender a customer-centric culture in which team members are encouraged and empowered to develop integrated projects that demonstrate Security & Inspection excellence.

Provide collective leadership for the organisation as a member of the management team.

Participate in business planning cycle according to company guidelines

Lead on key stakeholder relationships to achieve a high level of stakeholder satisfaction

  • Qualifications: Educational and Technical Qualifications:

Educational Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Security, or a related field

Master's degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Security, or a related field (preferable)

Technical Qualifications:

Certified Security Professional (CSP) or Certified Protection Professional (CPP) certification (preferable)

Chartered Security Professional (CSP) or Certified Manager of Security (CMS) certification (preferable)

Strong understanding of security standards and regulations, such as ISO 28000, ISO 27001, and relevant national and international standards

Familiarity with security management systems, risk management, and crisis management principles

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and tactically

Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall

Language Skills:

Written and Spoken English & Arabic (preferred)

Years of Experience:

10+ years of relevant experience

At least 10 years of experience in similar Industry (Security, HSE, Inspection, Economic/Free Zone management, Trade, Logistics, Shipping or Industrial real estate), with at least 5-10 years in management role in an organization of comparable size and scope.

Nature of Experience:

Minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience

Combined agency and client experience
