DESCRIPTION

• Airbus Helicopters is looking for a passionate and skilled Windows Server Administrator to join our Infrastructure Technologies team. Our mission is the backbone of the company: we manage, maintain, and innovate the entire server, storage, and database landscape that keeps our production and engineering systems flying.

You will join a multicultural team of experts dedicated to providing high-availability solutions and ensuring the digital continuity of the world’s leading helicopter manufacturer.

YOUR CHALLENGES

As a member of the Infrastructure Technologies team, your daily mission will involve:

• System Administration \& Monitoring: Installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows Server environments, focusing on Windows Server. Active system monitoring and proactive resolution of incidents or bottlenecks.
• Maintenance \& Budget Management: Support and management of maintenance contracts (SLA) and budget planning for the ongoing operation of the Windows Server infrastructure.
• 3rd Level Support \& Troubleshooting : Handling complex 3rd level support activities. Incident management and root cause analysis in close collaboration with end-users.
• Methods \& Standards: Support to establish industry standards, and quality assurance regulations.
• Documentation: Creation and continuous maintenance of comprehensive system documentations and operational manuals.
• Obsolescence Management : Identifying and managing hardware and software lifecycles to mitigate risks related to outdated technology. Support the obsolescence project in planification, communication and scheduling.
• External Provider Management: Collaborating with external service providers for the operational management and maintenance of the infrastructure.
• Virtualization : Administering hypervisor clusters and ensuring seamless integration between hardware and software layers.
• Security \& Compliance: Support the implementation of security patches and ensuring systems meet strict aviation industry cybersecurity standards.
• Automation: Developing scripts (PowerShell) to automate repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency.

SKILLS

• Education: You hold a degree in Computer Science or have completed a comparable vocational training in the IT field combined with relevant professional experience with at least 3–5 years of experience in Windows Server environments and technical support.

• Technical \& Administrative Skills:

  • Experience in Microsoft Windows Server OS.
  • Experience with Virtualization and Monitoring Tools.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and Technical Documentation.
  • Knowledge in vendor management and budget tracking is a plus.
  • Soft Skills : Problem-solver with a "service-oriented" mindset. You have a strong focus on quality and structured administrative work.
  • Languages: English is mandatory as it is our primary working language. French and/or German are considered a strong advantage for communicating with our international teams and headquarters.
