Job Description

Job Title: Intern – Property Administrator

Job Code: Intern – Property Administrator

Company: St John Lettings Ltd

Employment: Internship

Reports to: Property Manager

Department: Property Management

Location: Kuwait

ABOUT US

St John Lettings Ltd is a London-based real estate company managing a diversified portfolio of residential properties across London, UK. The company pairs institutional-grade asset management with hands-on operational excellence, with day-to-day administrative coordination for the portfolio based at the group's Kuwait office.

The Role

This internship is a hands-on introduction to residential property management. Working alongside the Property Manager and Property Administrator, the intern supports the day-to-day running of St John Lettings' London portfolio — from tenant communications, listings, and marketing to inspections, renewals paperwork, and record-keeping — while building practical skills across the lettings cycle.

The role suits a current student or recent graduate who is organized, curious, and eager to learn. No prior property experience is required; what matters is attention to detail, a willingness to take initiative, and an interest in real estate and marketing. Success looks like reliable day-to-day support to the team, accurate and up-to-date listings and records across every system, and a growing understanding of how a residential portfolio is managed.

Key Responsibilities

Tenant \& Property Support

  • Help respond to routine tenant enquiries, escalating issues to the Property Manager or Property Administrator as needed
  • Assist with welcome emails and move-in instructions for new tenants, and move-out instructions for departing tenants
  • Help arrange and schedule check-in, check-out, and mid-term inspections, updating the shared Outlook diary and notifying relevant parties
  • Help identify upcoming move-outs and support re-marketing and scheduling
  • Support the coordination of maintenance and contractor appointments, tracking progress

Marketing \& Communications

  • Help keep social media platforms up to date with consistent, on-brand content
  • Assist in keeping the company website and Zoopla listings accurate and up to date
  • Support the development of social media content plans and marketing material for the St John Lettings brand
  • Help draft tenant communications and a regular tenant newsletter

Administration \& Records

  • Assist with data entry, filing, correspondence, and document preparation
  • Help keep internal tracking sheets, Airtable, and Yardi accurate and aligned
  • Support uploading new-let documents and keeping Dropbox organized with current signed agreements
  • Assist with first renewal communications and maintaining a renewals log
  • Assist with periodic reporting on occupancy, rent roll, and maintenance activity

Learning \& Development

  • Build practical knowledge of the UK lettings cycle, tenancy administration, and property marketing
  • Take on other supporting tasks as directed, using each as an opportunity to learn

Requirements

Essential

  • Education: Currently studying towards, or recently completed, a degree in any discipline
  • English: Excellent written and spoken English, with clear communication by email and messaging platforms
  • Tech fluency: Comfortable with Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, and quick to learn new software and online tools
  • Organization: Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple small tasks
  • Attitude: Proactive, reliable, self-motivated, and genuinely eager to learn

Preferred — aptitude matters more than credentials

  • Education or a qualification in marketing, or a background or genuine interest in marketing
  • An interest in real estate, property, or asset management
  • Familiarity with social media and content tools
  • Familiarity with Airtable, Yardi, or similar platforms
  • Exposure to customer service or administrative work

What We Offer

  • A paid internship with hands-on exposure to residential property management
  • Mentorship and close support from the Property Manager and Property Administrator
  • Practical experience across the full lettings cycle — tenants, listings, marketing, inspections, and records
  • A real contribution to the day-to-day running of a London property portfolio
  • A reference and portfolio of work to support your next step
