Development \& Marketing Manager
St. Vincent de Paul Middletown (SVDM)
At SVDM, the Development and Marketing Manager is responsible for the development and implementation to raise funds for the organization and provide marketing efforts across all SVDM platforms effectively. Duties include planning and executing fundraisers, and overseeing third party fundraisers, developing community relationships to garner revenue, sponsorships and donations both financial and in-kind successfully and meet financial goals for each event.
· Plan and execute 2 fundraising events annually, Open Your Heart Gala, Soup Supper Challenge. This includes garnering sponsorship support, secure venue and all aspects of event planning, auction items, and work with staff, volunteers and Development Committee to meet financial set goals for each event.
· Develop marketing materials including 4 agency newsletters annually and three appeal letters annually.
· Maintain website content with program updates, promotional videos, and donor pages based on scheduled contributions from program managers. Work with outside website developer to make structural content changes as deemed necessary by the Executive Director.
· Maintain Constant Contact content updated frequently, e-contact system, update emails, remove inactive addresses, write to people who have blocked us, etc.
· Manage and provide regular content to all social media inclusive of Facebook, Instagram and other platforms as deemed necessary by the Executive Director.
· Attend community events as deemed necessary to represent SVDM in the community and as assigned by the Executive Director.
· Assist the Executive Director in grant writing and proposal preparation.
· Be articulate in the mission of St Vincent de Paul Middletown and knowledgeable about all SVDM programs and populations we serve. Be able to effectively communicate both verbally, and in written forms to support our work and garner support from a wide range of individuals, businesses, civic and community groups, and faith based groups to engage in supporting our mission and programs.
Position is 35 hours per week, considered full-time for benefit eligibility.
