Design & Sales Specialist – Decorative Lighting Position Summary
The Design & Sales Specialist – Decorative Lighting is responsible for promoting and selling decorative lighting solutions by providing professional design consultation, product recommendations, and project support to clients. The role combines sales, technical product knowledge, and design expertise to create lighting solutions that enhance residential, commercial, hospitality, and retail spaces while achieving the company's sales objectives.
Key Responsibilities: Sales & Business Development
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within residential, commercial, hospitality, and retail sectors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, interior designers, consultants, contractors, developers, and end users.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Prepare quotations, proposals, specifications, and product presentations.
- Conduct product demonstrations and client presentations.
- Negotiate commercial terms while maintaining company profitability.
- Follow up on quotations and convert opportunities into confirmed sales.
Design Consultation
- Understand clients' design vision, functional requirements, and project budgets.
- Recommend decorative lighting solutions suitable for each project.
- Assist clients in selecting fixtures based on aesthetics, performance, and application.
- Prepare mood boards, lighting concepts, and product selections.
- Coordinate customized lighting solutions when required.
- Ensure proposed lighting complements the architectural and interior design concept.
Project Coordination
- Coordinate with suppliers, procurement, logistics, and installation teams.
- Monitor project schedules and delivery timelines.
- Support clients throughout the project lifecycle from design through installation.
- Resolve project-related issues promptly to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Conduct site visits when necessary to verify project requirements.
Product & Technical Support
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of decorative lighting products, materials, finishes, technologies, and industry trends.
- Explain product specifications, installation requirements, and maintenance recommendations.
- Assist customers with technical inquiries and product comparisons.
- Participate in product training and supplier presentations.
Customer Relationship Management
- Deliver exceptional customer service before, during, and after sales.
- Maintain accurate customer records and sales activities in the CRM system.
- Handle customer concerns professionally and ensure timely resolution.
- Develop long-term client relationships that generate repeat business and referrals.
Market Intelligence
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and new product developments.
- Identify opportunities to expand product offerings and market presence.
- Provide regular market feedback and sales reports to management.
